What is a workflow in GoHighLevel?
A workflow is GoHighLevel's automation builder. One or more triggers start it, and each contact who enters runs through a sequence of actions such as sending an email or SMS, waiting, branching with If/Else, updating fields, adding tags or moving an opportunity.
How is it used?
- Following up with new leads within minutes by SMS and email.
- Confirming bookings and sending reminders before appointments.
- Moving opportunities between pipeline stages and creating tasks for the team.
What usually goes wrong?
- The workflow is still in draft, so it never runs.
- A trigger filter no contact can meet, so nobody enrols.
- Duplicate workflows with the same trigger, so contacts get two of everything.
